The Lodge at Eagle Rock Location
The Missouri River in Montana flows through the central part of the state. It begins in the western part of Montana, near the Rocky Mountains, where it is formed by the confluence of the Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin rivers at Three Forks. From there, it flows eastward across the state, passing through cities like Great Falls and Helena, eventually exiting Montana and continuing its course toward the Mississippi River. The Missouri River is an important waterway for both history and modern-day use, serving as a key feature of Montana’s geography.
