TIM LONG

Owner

An avid fly fisherman, Tim Long has spent the last couple of decades splitting his time between Montana and California, where he officially resides. Tim, along with partners Bill Butler and Chuck Seufferlein, have invested a tremendous amount of resources and take great pride in The Lodge. In fact, if you come for a visit, chances are high that you will have the pleasure of bumping into one of them as you float down the beautiful Missouri River.

Vince Van Meter

Outfitter

We would like to introduce our new endorsed outfitter, Vince Van Meter to the Lodge at Eagle Rock team. Vince is a native Montanan with 5 generations stretching back to the 1860s. He grew up in Helena, Montana and went to college at Montana State University in Bozeman. Vince started fishing when he was very young, shadowing his grandfather on the Yellowstone River near Livingston when 10-foot cane rods and catgut leaders were the norm. His introduction to guiding began with working as the camp do-all for an outfitter during summers off from high school, but it wasn’t until his senior year in college that he began a life-long career in guiding. That was 37 years ago. Vince’s home waters have always been the Missouri, but he has also guided countless trips on almost every river system in Western Montana.

GEOFFREY LANGELL

Executive Chef

Geoffrey Langell graduated with honors from Sullivan University’s culinary arts program and worked as a sous chef for the critically acclaimed Jack Fry’s Restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky. He then spent 7 years island hopping and cooking on the high seas as an executive chef on a private yacht. After falling in love with a Montana native and fly fishing (in that order he assures us!), Geoff started a private catering business, appropriately named The River Chef. We are thrilled to have Geoff as part of our team and know you will enjoy his culinary wizardry.
