Meet the Team at the Lodge at Eagle Rock

Tim Long

Owner
An avid fly fisherman, Tim Long has spent the last couple of decades splitting his time between Montana and California, where he officially resides. Tim, along with partners Bill Butler and Chuck Seufferlein, have invested a tremendous amount of resources and take great pride in The Lodge. In fact, if you come for a visit, chances are high that you will have the pleasure of bumping into one of them as you float down the beautiful Missouri River.

Shaunna Bossler

Operations Manager
Shaunna Bossler brings a diverse and professional background to her role. Her career began in banking, followed by a transition to Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she honed her skills in project management and software testing. This led to a significant period as a Quality Assurance Manager in the private sector and state government, overseeing the testing of numerous software programs. Demonstrating her expertise, Shaunna earned her certification from the American Software Testing Qualifications Board in 2004, achieving the distinction of being among the first 10,000 individuals to receive this certification internationally.

After a successful career in the IT world with the State of Montana Department of Revenue, Shaunna embarked on a new chapter, joining the Lodge at Eagle Rock in the spring of 2019. Initially assisting with the reservation software, bookkeeping, and service tasks, she quickly became an integral part of the team. In 2021, she transitioned into management, where she now oversees the lodge’s day-to-day operations.

A fourth-generation Montanan, Shaunna’s roots run deep in the state. She resides in Helena with her husband, Bill. Together, they have four children (two sons and two daughters) and nine grandchildren, who keep their lives joyfully full. They plan to retire in the beautiful Mission Valley, making Ronan, MT their future home.

Hayden Deshner

General Manager
Hayden Deshner brings a deep-rooted connection to Montana’s wild spaces. Raised on a ranch near Cascade, she spent her youth immersed in the outdoor recreation of the Smith River region. After a year at Montana State University in Bozeman, Hayden served in the Montana Air National Guard while completing her Wildlife Biology degree at the University of Providence in Great Falls. Her passion for Montana’s natural beauty is evident in her personal pursuits, which include fishing, camping, ATV riding, and simply savoring the state’s breathtaking landscapes.

Geoffrey Langell

Executive Chef
Geoffrey Langell’s culinary journey is as diverse as his palate. Graduating with honors from Sullivan University’s culinary arts program, he quickly rose to the role of sous chef at Louisville’s renowned Jack Fry’s Restaurant. The call of the sea then beckoned, and for seven years, he served as an executive chef on a private yacht, mastering global cuisines while island hopping. A chance encounter with a Montana native, coupled with a newfound passion for fly fishing, anchored him in the Treasure State. He launched The River Chef, a testament to his love for both culinary artistry and the Montana landscape. As the Lodge’s Executive Chef from its beginning, Geoffrey expertly bridges classic techniques with the hearty flavors of rustic Montana, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge and a passion for culinary exploration.

When not in the kitchen, he can be found fly fishing with his wife, Beth, a seasoned Missouri River guide, hunting with friends, or indulging his wanderlust in tropical locales.

Mike Kuhnert

Lodge Endorsed Outfitter MT11222
Mike Kuhnert’s journey from a childhood spent hunting and fishing in California and Minnesota to a life dedicated to the Missouri River is a testament to his enduring passion for the outdoors. After studying engineering at MSU Bozeman, he followed his dream to Craig, Montana, where he’s been a respected fly-fishing guide and Outfitter for over 20 years.

His enthusiasm for the river remains undiminished, and when he’s not guiding, he can be found enjoying the simple pleasures of hunting and foraging and time spent with his wife Courtney, and his bird dogs.
