What a place! The Lodge at Eagle Rock completely surpassed all of my expectations. I planned the trip for 4 of us, the 3 others had never been fly fishing and didn’t know what to expect. Angie and Shaunna were extremely helpful in getting everything set up ahead of time. Upon arrival, we met the staff and they couldn’t be nicer people. The food is amazing. The chef, Geoffrey, prepared incredible breakfasts and top of the line dinners. It is so much fun to sit in the Lodge bar after fishing and talk about the day with the other guests and their fishing guides and the staff. Laura serves up some amazing cocktails. The owner of the Lodge happened to be staying at the Lodge during our stay and we became fast friends. The Missouri River didn’t disappoint. Everybody on our trip caught a bunch of trout and many large ones, as well. It didn’t matter that 3 people in our group were new to fly fishing. The Lodge set us up with guides that were a perfect match. The views at the Lodge are amazing and there were deer grazing on the property every morning and evening. The whole trip was incredible. I am already planning my next trip to The Lodge at Eagle Rock.

Date of stay: September 2020This is my 3rd time to The Lodge at Eagle Rock and won’t be my last. Angie, Laura, Geoffrey and Matt are wonderful hosts. They attend to our needs, are enjoyable to be around (actually they are one of the big reasons I keep coming back) and are key in making our trip enjoyable. You won’t go hungry staying at the Lodge as Geoffrey’s meals are incredible. Casey does a wonderful job of aligning us with really great guides. They are all wonderful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. I look forward to this trip every year.

Date of stay: September 2019This was our first time visiting the Lodge at Eagle Rock and it was an awesome experience. My son & I spent 4 nights at the Lodge at Eagle Rock and wish we’d stayed longer. We didn’t want to leave. We’d have to say the staff played a major role in this experience. Angie, Laura, Geoffrey, Matt and the rest of the staff are very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The fly fishing guides (Klay, Eddie & Casey) are the best at what they do and made sure we had a great experience on the water. They were more than happy to provide instruction and tips to ensure we had a great fishing experience. We will definitely be returning to the Lodge at Eagle Rock. We hope to make it an annual father/son trip.

Date of stay: July 2019Where to begin? First I screwed up travel dates. Lodge manager Angie changed our stay dates to coincide with flights. Then United cancelled our connecting flight out of Denver. Angie and Chef Geoffrey came up with great ideas for alternate airports. Angie personally picked us up in Helena at 9PM and Geoffrey had dinner waiting when we arrived at 11PM. Who does that? Apparently everyone who works at this lodge. Special shoutouts to Laura and our guides Braden, Eddie and Clay. The lodge is beautiful. The food is to die for. The service is impeccable and the fish are big, healthy and really really strong. Will be making this an annual treat.

Date of stay: July 2019We have been fly-fishing all over the world since 1994 and this was our best experience yet. The staff, food, rooms, grounds and of course the fishing were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely return!!

Date of stay: July 2019I’ve been visiting the lodge for the last five years or so and it is always an incredible experience. The lodge is perfect. Angie, Laura and Jeff are always friendly and accommodating. The fly fishing is as good as you will find on any river. Casey (the outfitter) and the guides are all top notch and will provide the perfect experience for everyone from beginners to avid anglers. I will continue to return.

Date of stay: July 2019My first visit to Eagle Rock will not be my last. The lodge, accommodations, staff, meals and most importantly the fishing were outstanding. There was a large group in the main lodge and the staff put me in one of the cabins, which was well appointed. The highlight was the sound of brook running in the back. What a good night’s sleep. The guides were patient with a person only fly fishing for 9 months. My skill sets improved significantly during my three days. After a long day on the river, I came back to cocktails and a great meal prepared by Jeff. The staff was very detailed, responsive and personable. I will definitely be back in 2020.

Date of stay: June 2019My son and I had a 3-night stay that was incredible. The service was top notch, the food and beverage were great, and the rooms were very comfortable. Oh, the fishing was amazing, both guided and right out the door on the river next to the Bald Eagles nest, come on!!! Cannot wait to return.

Date of stay: June 2019Accommodations are first rate. The staff could not be more attentive and the food was the best I have had at any lodge. The guides were knowledgeable and really knew the river and worked extremely hard making sure we were on the fish. We went early in April which is very early and it was cold, but the fishing was still good. The area we fished was bordered by canyon walls with lots of wildlife. The scenery was spectacular. This was our first trip here and we are already planning a return trip for next year.
